Today’s Traditional is fusing different design-details together and creating product that is appealing, but understated in form. We looked to the English Traditional category and pulled bracket feet, contrasting inlays and architecture for Lafayette Square-White. In developing our color with Sherwin Williams, we captured the subtle textures of the wire-brushed White oak and poplar solids graining with our hand-applied White Mist with chipped-edge distressing. We selected a pipe-inspired design for the drawer pulls that is finished in burnished copper.
The Dining table is large (76x40) and can extend to 96” with a 20” leaf. the table can seat up to 8 people comfortably. The top is veneered with mis-match white oak and is bordered with a walnut inlay with an inverted corner. The trestle base is wide and features a floating beam for stability. The chairs have a splat back with inverted corners on the moulding. The seats are webbed and padded for comfort.
The Display Cabinet 52”x77” features a stately crown with a waterfall edge profile that runs all the way from floor to top. The interior is LED Lighted with a dimmer control to the top-right door hinge. Inside is a mirror back and tempered glass shelves for your displays to rest upon. The side glass and door glass are beveled and tempered. In the base of the display cabinet will be 2 drawers for extra storage.
The 62” Sideboard features 2 drawers & 2 doors for storage. The top right drawer has a silver tray for holding your finest silverware. We added a center shelf with slats for holding wine bottles.
All drawers are made with ½” plywood drawer boxes, English dovetails and nearly ¼” thick drawer bottoms. The 12” 45mm slides, offer the best and most smooth glides available in furniture.
