French-inspired furniture from the cottages in Haute-Savoie, France. We used White Oak veneers and Poplar solids, both are wire-brushed, to give a casual texture to the furniture. Sherwin Williams developed the “Sandstone” finish that utilizes bare-wood aged markings and multiple stains and glazes, all hand applied. The powder glaze hangs in the deeper graining and wire brushings to make the finish deep.
The Panel Bed with vertical oak graining is complimented with the floating bead frame and generous curving of the outside frame. The 68” dresser has nine (9) shaped-drawers for storage. . A top-row of velvet bottom drawers (right drawer with a jewelry tray) and deep lower drawers allow for ample storage. The bottom row of which have aromatic cedar bottoms, while all other drawers feature a Cherry veneer bottom (for a smooth-surface, to not snag delicate garments). The 5-Drawer chest offers deep-drawer storage and the lower drawer features a cedar bottom. A functional 2-Drawer Nightstand with wireless charging device mounted under the veneer top, completes the room. We used Antique-Copper hardware and layered in a unique Ring pull with a pierced backplate as well as a large knob with cast scrolling. All drawers are made with ½” drawer boxes and English dovetails at the back of the drawer. The 45mm full-extension slides offer the best, smooth glides available in furniture.
